Hile has represented condemned prisoners on death row on a pro bono basis, including a 17-year effort to exonerate Kevin Cooper from a wrongful conviction and death sentence. Hile was a partner in the law firm of Orrick Herrington & Sutcliffe LLP specializing in complex litigation.
